WCHS NTHS Criteria

 

West Carteret High School has a local chapter of the National Technical Honor Society.  The NTHS recognizes outstanding student achievement in career and technical education.  The NTHS is open to juniors and seniors who meet the criteria.

  • Overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 unweighted scale
  • A grade point average in their selected career cluster of 3.25 with no grade below 85
  • Enrolled in an Future Ready Core 1 or Future Ready Core 2 course of study
  • In good standing to graduate on time
  • Membership in a career and technical student association (DECA, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, Skills USA)
  • No OSS after induction
  • No U’s in conduct after induction 

AND

Juniors

Must have completed or be enrolled in a total of 3 CTE classes in the same career cluster

Seniors

Must have completed or be enrolled in a total of 4 CTE classes in the same career cluster one of which must be a completer course
